Oh yeah! The Halloween decorations are a success. We have kids crying, kids refusing to come up the walk, and, the leading contestant so far, a boy crying: “No, no daddy, I don’t wanna go!”
The dog is doing a far better job of scaring kids (and parents) for Halloween than Colin and my decorations. The first batch of kids tonight and their dad were scared out of their wits as we still had Strut in the living room and he apparently doesn’t approved of strangely dressed and masked midgets…
Do you think it’s possible I overdid the Halloween decorations when I have to shutdown the chilled ground fog machine because I couldn’t see the second fog machine that was supposed to spew fog through the skeleton/ghoul crawling out of the ground?

One of my all-time favorite meals (obviously running at least second to steak tartare): romano cheese and whole cloves of garlic baked in baguette, spread with Irish butter, a slab of creamy blue cheese spread on it, and topped with several layers of thinly sliced Genoa salami. Washed down with slightly chilled Duvel triple ale.
